Matt Grimwood
Matt set up Lazarus Films in 2008 to enable the production of his first two short films as producer: Toshi and The End of J.F.
Starting as a runner on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2004 Matt went onto work predominantly in the production department on feature films and television dramas such as Broken Lines starring Paul Bettany and Olivia Williams; How To Be starring Robert Patinson and The Colour of Magic (a big budget adaptation of the Terry Pratchett book of the same name) starring Sean Astin and David Jason.
Moving into documentaries in 2008. Matt had the opportunity to gain experience in another genre. Working on projects such as the Channel 4 Christmas day special The Nativity Decoded and drama documentary Yesterday We Were In America. In 2009 Matt Line Produced The Film Makers of Kabul for Carbon Media and Channel 4. A challenging project consisting of four 3-minute films made by Afghan filmmakers on the ground in Kabul, Afghanistan. Largely managed from the UK and made to a tight schedule and even tighter budget Matt was integral to the production from development to delivery.
Currently, Matt splits his time between his paid production work , as production manager and line producer, with his passion for producing and developing new projects, as Lazarus Films.
